About

Hello there!

Thank you for visiting Starwing Studio! If you've seen my Narnia art around at various events or if you've stumbled here through the portals of internet magic, then welcome! Either way, I take it you must be some kind of kindred spirit and I'm glad you are here!

About the Artist
Starwing Studio is the website for concept painter, Elisa L. I've been drawing & painting ever since I was a kid and I just never stopped. I consider myself an amateur painter because I am still learning the tools of the trade. I'll most likely consider myself an amateur till I die, and it's a title I'm ready to defend.  As such, I have no real ambitions for my art, aside from that it exist and please those it pleases.  (And perhaps it can connect a few more kindred spirits!) If you've come to my quiet little corner of the internet, please share a virtual cup of tea with me and take a moment to look outside your window and find something beautiful there.
About the Art
My artistic focus is on landscape and imaginative paintings. I consider myself a concept artist (as opposed to a fine artist) because to me art has always been an extension of my imagination. My real delight in art is try to capture the beauty of the world around me and to attempt to bring to life some of my favorite stories. I've been lucky to spend a great deal of my life in Colorado, with its stunning natural scenery, therefore my captivation with woodlands, water, and mountains has had free reign in this giant, stunning playground. Through my work, I try to capture the magic & beauty I experience in the world around me.

My paintings are primarily done in acrylics. It suits my impatience. Although I also enjoy working with oil pastels, and when I'm creating entirely for myself, I often sketch or use colored pencil. I frequently paint from reference photos I have taken. Anything I forgot to mention? Please contact me!

Why This Website & Where Can I Find Your Work?
This website is a space where I can share my work with those who are curious about my art. I created it to provide easier access, especially after live events, for those who have expressed interested in exploring my work further or contacting me. At the moment, I am not selling any original paintings, aside from a very limited number of custom requests.

I do sell some prints. These can currently be purchased by contacting me directly through the contact page. Through the end of January 31, 2025, 75% of any profits from selling Narnia art prints will go to The Anselm Society.
